Chiropractic Adjustments.

Dr. Johnson uses the most gentle and effective techniques and therapies to relieve the source of the pain, as well as symptoms. Specifically she applies Motion Palpation which is a diagnostic technique used to locate joint dysfunction within the spine and extremities.
As soon as the joints are assessed, a chiropractic adjustment is delivered. A chiropractic adjustment is the art of using a specific force in a precise direction, applied to a joint that is fixated, “lock up”, or not moving properly. It adds motion to the joint, helping the bones gradually return to a more normal position and motion. The purpose of this safe and natural procedure is improved spinal function, improved nervous function and hence, improved health.

Physiotherapy

In order to more quickly reduce pain and help speed the healing process, therapeutic modalities such as hot packs, ice packs, ultrasound, and electric muscle stimulation may be used depending on your condition and stage of healing.

Therapeutic Massage (Soft Tissue Work)

Soft tissue work helps promote blood flow, decrease pain, and increased relaxation.

Rehabilitation & Sports Injury Care (Pilates)

This helps restore the muscles and joints involved through stretching, facilitation, strengthening, improving proprioception or balance using devices like wobble boards, rocker boards, elastic bands, and weights.

Exercise Programs

Necessary to prevent re-injury and maintenance of a healthy lifestyle, an exercise program will be structured according to patient needs and capabilities. Stretches and strengthening exercises will be emphasized to stabilize the body and improve biomechanics.
